About Samantha
Building and strengthening public health programs and research initiatives for over 15 years
Samantha Robinson, RN, MPH
I’m a public health specialist with over 15 years of experience working in the health sector in British Columbia and Ontario. I am motivated to reduce social and health inequities through my work and improve health-related experiences for individuals and communities facing marginalization.
My experience as a front-line health care provider and working closely with affected communities has offered me unique perspectives on how to make and sustain system-level changes that have measurable impacts. I have had an opportunity to work with a variety of research teams, health institutions, community-based organizations and not-for-profits to advance health program, policy and research initiatives.
I have made a commitment to reconciliation, anti-racism and Indigenous-specific anti-racism. I incorporate decolonizing practices and Indigenous methodologies wherever possible in my work. I welcome the opportunity to continually explore, learn and un-learn, from a place of humility on this journey.
